Welcome back to our lovely Cube blog. This week we thought we’d give a little background into why we chose Revelstoke as the home of The Cube!
Revelstoke has always been a lovely town being situated in the Columbia Mountains. In the summer Revy offered hiking and biking trails and in the winter the summit of Rogers Pass (located in Glacier National Park) was just a stones throw away for some awesome ski touring opportunities. Then in 2007 Revelstoke Mountain Resort opened and suddenly Revelstoke became a snow-seekers hotspot, the perfect place for a funky little boutique hotel.
We love Revelstoke, this eclectic little town has allowed us to really become part of the community. As stated in a previous blog (See New York Times Review), the author mentioned how The Cube would be more at home in a European setting. So something that isn’t necessarily natural to Canada and Canadian culture needed an open minded, up and coming town that wouldn’t shy away from us, nor us from them. This, and many other reasons, are why we chose Revelstoke as the town to call home! We haven’t looked back since.
Talk to you later!
