How have you all been? Seems like with winter coming to a close, it’s time to talk about what there is to do in Revelstoke in the snowless months. Besides hiking, biking and general outdoor activity, Revelstoke is also home to the Revelstoke Railway Museum!
This museum presents the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Colombia Mountains as well as telling the story of the people who built this railway thus uniting Canada as a nation.
Having won the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism and Attractions Excellence Award in 2012 and the 2014 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, the Revelstoke Railway Museum is the perfect place to spend an afternoon while on your vacation here in Revelstoke. Part of the museum is The Last Spike attraction located at Craigellachie which signifies the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. This attraction is only 45 kilometers from Revelstoke and well worth the little day trip.
When coming to Revelstoke, we here at The Cube Hotel highly recommend that you add the Railway Museum and the Last Spike to your itinerary. They will surely make your vacation all the more memorable.
Until next time!
